Commerce One was formed initially with the existing Exact Philippines’ customers in mind. Acting as the subsidiary’s General Manager and its Deputy and Sales Manager before that, I was familiar with the business and at some point, had personally dealt with all its customers. It was a blessing in disguise that when Exact decided to restructure and close half of their Southeast Asia subsidiary offices, I was offered and with a team of trusted colleagues, we decided to form Commerce One back in 2011.

The journey would not have been successful 13 years down the road, had we shared different visions and values and poured in varying levels of commitment and passion in each of our individual endeavors. We are all parts of a whole and only works perfectly if every single one fits in and performs the function each is intended to. While it will never always be perfect, respect to the organization and to all the people that compose it shall always take a pivotal role in ensuring continuous success and improvements.

To all the Managers and Senior Family members, continue to lead by example, never lose sight of your individual responsibilities and our overall goals. You remain to be our biggest and most important resources and success drivers. To the New members of the Family, you were chosen because aside from your skills, you fit in and is trusted to fill in broader and more important roles in the future. We may be from diverse generations but if we share common goals and values, exercise the same work ethics, cultivate innovative thinking while fostering respect in and out of work, Commerce One will always be in good hands.
